Out of my entire collection of stuffed animal illustrations, I think that this one is my favorite. I love the pink, brown, and cream of this image. The zebra turned out just adorable and I can just see it on a kid’s blog or website. My girls love zebras, so this would be perfect for them. If I can find a use for it, I will definitely be using this one.

This illustration also took much longer than the other ones. All those stripes took a long time to clean up and define. But it is still a 15 credit purchase (just like the penguin and the cat).

I love creating stock imagery. There are no deadlines, and I am given complete creative license. The only downside is that there is no guarantee that something will be a success. You are at the mercy of the search engines and a buyer’s taste. I have created lots of files, but only a few become really popular.

Here is another stock illustration that I recently added to my iStock portfolio.  My sister-in-law loves cats and is desperately in love with her own feline companion.  My brother would be jealous if she didn’t also love him just as desperately.  I had her (and her kitten) in mind when I created this stuffed cat illustration.  I had a cat that was orange and yellow when I was a little girl and although it was horrible and wild, I loved it.  So I guess I created this illustration for both of us.
